The Problem
You're paying for traffic your website can't convert.
Most local service business websites are pretty brochures. They load slow, they bury the phone number, they have no trust signals above the fold, and their mobile layout is a squeezed-down version of the desktop. Then you pay Google Ads $15 per click to land visitors on this page and wonder why the phone doesn't ring.
Here's what actually matters in 2026: Core Web Vitals scores (LCP, INP, CLS) feed Google's ranking algorithm directly. A 3-second mobile load time drops conversion 30%. An SPA-only architecture (React without SSR/SSG) is invisible to Google's crawler for every page except the homepage. No schema markup means no rich results, no AI citations, no Knowledge Graph entity. And if your CTA is below the fold or buried behind a form with 9 fields, you're actively choosing to lose leads.
We build sites the way a local service business actually earns revenue from the web: fast, crawlable, pre-rendered HTML per page, schema-marked, mobile-first, and designed around the question 'how do we get this visitor to call or fill the form in under 30 seconds?'
- ×Your site is a client-side React SPA — Google only sees a blank shell on every page but the home.
- ×Mobile load time is over 3 seconds. Half your visitors bail before the hero renders.
- ×You have no schema markup — no rich results, no AI citations, no Knowledge Graph entity.
- ×Your contact form has 7+ fields. Each extra field drops conversion about 4%.
- ×No click-to-call CTA above the fold on mobile. You're losing the fastest-converting visitor.
The Solution
SSR/SSG sites built for speed, crawlability, and conversion — in that order.
Every site we build is pre-rendered per page (Next.js App Router or Astro static) — so every URL returns a complete HTML document to Google, Bing, ChatGPT, and Perplexity on first load. No blank SPA shells, no JavaScript-hydration-required-to-see-content, no catch-all redirects that kill crawlability. The same site that ranks is the same site a human sees.
We measure a site against three speed targets: LCP under 2.5s, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.1. We hit them with next-gen image formats (WebP/AVIF served via srcset), inline critical CSS, deferred non-critical JS, preconnect hints to third-party domains, and a strict bundle budget. Lighthouse scores come in at 95+ on mobile or we're not done.
On the conversion side, every page follows the same 12-section CRO anatomy: above-the-fold hero with promise + proof + CTA, social proof strip, problem framing, mechanism/how-it-works, offer + transformation, deliverables, proof (case studies + reviews), authority signals, pricing transparency, FAQ, risk reversal (90-day guarantee), and final CTA. Click-to-call is persistent on mobile. Form fields are the bare minimum to qualify a lead — name, phone, service, ZIP. That's it.
Schema markup isn't optional. Every page ships with LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, and AggregateRating where applicable — generated programmatically from your data files and validated against Google's Rich Results Test before deploy. This is what earns rich results, AI citations, and Knowledge Graph presence.
What You Get
Everything In The Engagement
Next.js or Astro Static Site
Pre-rendered HTML per page, SSR/SSG out of the box, no SPA shell. Every URL is crawlable and extractable by both Google and AI engines.
Lighthouse 95+ on Mobile
LCP under 2.5s, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.1. We ship with the numbers hit or we don't ship.
Mobile-First Responsive Design
Designed on mobile first, then enhanced for tablet and desktop. Not the other way around — because 70% of your visitors are on a phone.
Schema.org Markup
LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, AggregateRating, Review — generated programmatically, validated against Rich Results Test.
CRO-Tested 12-Section Layout
Hero, social proof, problem, solution, deliverables, proof, authority, pricing, FAQ, guarantee, final CTA. The sequence that converts.
Click-to-Call Persistence
Sticky mobile CTA with click-to-call. Always visible, always reachable. Click-to-call is the single highest-converting action on a local service site.
Qualified Lead Form
4-field form (name, phone, service, ZIP) with inline validation. Shorter forms convert better — we've A/B tested it dozens of times.
Image Pipeline (WebP/AVIF)
Next-gen image formats with responsive srcset, lazy loading, and explicit width/height to prevent CLS. Fast images = fast pages.
Netlify or Vercel Deploy
Auto-deploy on Github push. Preview URLs for every PR. Atomic rollbacks. Your site is always one commit from live or one commit from reverted.
Our Process
How We Deliver
Strategy + Wireframe (Week 1)
We map every page the site needs (from your keyword plan), sketch wireframes for the top 5 templates, and agree the messaging framework before any pixel is designed.
Visual Design (Weeks 2-3)
Brand system, typography scale, color tokens, component library in Figma. Every screen designed mobile-first, then desktop. You approve before we write a line of code.
Build (Weeks 3-6)
Next.js or Astro build. Components first, pages next, schema last. Every feature is tested on real devices, not just Chrome DevTools.
Content + SEO Integration (Weeks 5-6)
Keyword plan, page metadata, schema blocks, internal linking, sitemap.xml, llms.txt, and robots.txt all wired in. Site ships SEO-ready, not SEO-afterthought.
QA + Performance (Week 7)
Lighthouse audits, accessibility audit, mobile device matrix testing, Rich Results validation, sitemap submission prep. We hit the numbers or we keep going.
Launch + Measure (Week 8+)
Deploy to Netlify or Vercel, submit to Search Console and Bing, wire up GA4 and call tracking. Week 1 post-launch includes a full indexing + ranking baseline.

FAQ
Custom Web Design That Converts Like Crazy FAQ
What framework do you build on?
Astro static or Next.js 15 with the App Router — both produce real HTML at build time rather than assembling the page in the browser. We choose based on complexity: Astro for marketing sites under about 50 pages, Next.js for anything with authentication, dynamic data, or more involved routing. Both deploy to Netlify or Vercel with no config drift between environments. The framework choice matters less than the property it buys you, which is that every page exists as crawlable HTML before a visitor or a search engine ever requests it. Plenty of modern sites fail that test. A React single-page app looks identical to you in a browser and serves an empty shell to a crawler, which is why a site can be beautifully built, fast on your machine, and completely invisible in search results at the same time.
Can you work with my existing site?
Often, yes, and we would rather keep what you have. We audit the current site first and the answer follows from what we find. If the foundation is solid we optimize in place, which is faster, costs less, and preserves whatever ranking history the domain has already earned. If it is a React single-page app serving no pre-rendered HTML, a rebuild is almost always the right call, because no amount of SEO work saves a site crawlers cannot read — you would be optimizing content that Google never sees. The other common rebuild triggers are pages slow enough to lose mobile visitors and a structure that buries revenue pages several clicks deep. We tell you which category you are in before quoting anything. See our guide to when it's time to redesign.
How long does a full rebuild take?
Six to eight weeks for a standard local service business site of roughly 10-20 pages. Larger builds — 40 or more pages, neighborhood landing pages, multiple locations — run 10 to 12 weeks. We publish a week-by-week milestone plan on day one, so you always know what is being worked on and what is coming next rather than waiting in silence for a reveal. The timeline is driven mostly by content, not code. Design and build move quickly; what takes time is writing pages that say something specific about your business rather than generic filler, and gathering the photography, service details and proof that make them credible. Projects that run long almost always run long on content approval, which is why we front-load that work instead of leaving it to the end.
Will my rankings drop during migration?
Not if it is done right, and the steps that prevent it are well understood. We preserve URL structure wherever possible, 301-redirect every URL that has to change, maintain schema parity so structured data does not vanish on launch, keep canonical tags aligned, and submit updated sitemaps to Search Console on launch day. Done correctly, rankings hold or improve, because the new site beats the old one on every technical measure that matters. Where migrations go wrong is almost always redirects: URLs quietly dropped with no forwarding, or chains that pass through several hops before landing. Both bleed the authority those pages had accumulated, sometimes for months before anyone notices. We map every existing URL before launch and verify the redirects after, rather than assuming they worked.
Do you handle hosting?
Deployment yes — hosting no. We deploy to Netlify or Vercel under your account, with your billing and your domain. You own the infrastructure end-to-end. No agency lock-in, no hostage data.
What about ongoing updates?
Our $997/mo retainer covers ongoing content updates, schema maintenance, performance monitoring, security patches, and all the local SEO work (GBP, reviews, citations, AI optimization) that compounds after launch.
Will my site look like everyone else's?
No. Every build is a custom design from scratch — we do not start from a template and swap the logo. The 12-section conversion anatomy we use is a proven structure, the same way most good books have chapters, but structure is not appearance. The visual design, brand voice, photography, and interactions are entirely yours. This matters more in local service markets than people assume. Your prospects are comparing three or four businesses in a single sitting, and a site that looks like a template signals that the business behind it is interchangeable too. Original photography of your actual crew and actual work does more for conversion than any layout decision we could make. See what current web design trends actually move the needle.
